The News Group, the leading distribution service for book and magazine publishers, delivering to all major retailers throughout the U.S. currently has an opening for a Retail Link Analyst reporting to our V.P. of Category Management at our headquarters located in Smyrna, Georgia.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The ideal candidate will be able to accomplish the following in this position:
Contribute to the team meeting yearly sales goals by providing Retail Link analysis for the category.
Contribute to the team meeting yearly efficiency goals (sell thru) by providing Retail Link analysis for the category.
Provide high quality, timely and accurate reporting based on Retail Link analysis.
Work well within a team to assure a high level of client satisfaction.
This position will interact heavily with sales, category management and customer (Wal-Mart). Focus will include preparing Retail Link POS data and participating in weekly call with customer as well as analyzing Retail Link data to develop trend analysis, recommendations and action items. Ultimate responsibility will be to provide analysis to maximize sales and meet customer goals.
•2+ Years Experience with Retail Link is mandatory – must be able to speak “Wal-Mart” language
•College Degree Required
•Experience interacting with Wal-Mart buyers preferred
•General Merchandiser experience needed, experience with publications industry preferred
•Strong communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management, must be able to work well and thrive within a team atmosphere
•Strong analytical skills are a must. Must be able to set proactive plans based on data analysis
•Strong presentation skills and high level of professionalism needed to interact with client
•Strong computer skills including Expert level of MS excel and Access
•Management experience preferred as this position may manage associates
