BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hormel Foods Corporation has 2 exciting opportunities for a Sales Analyst and Category Analyst in our Consumer Products Sales division in Bentonville, AR. As a Sales Analyst, you will be responsible for working with the WalMart Team to help the Customer Trade Marketing Manager and the Sr. Customer Executive develop sales plans and strategies, which are consistent with Hormel's marketing objectives and customer needs. The incumbent independently anlayzes data to support the sales management process for assigned brands that will result in improved business results, including sales, distribution, profitability and brand share growth. This position is critical in building category, brand, and customer/market development strategies by using a variety of information resources to assist in tracking and analyzing sales trends.
As a Category Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Category Management process at Wal-Mart by providing analysis and insight using fact based data as well as research on the category and it's consumers to make recommendations on how to best drive results for the category and the stores overall.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze Data: Using a variety of syndicated and internal data to track, analyze and communicate category/brand dynamics and sales trends.
• Develop routine presentations: Develop and mainatin all category review templates, and identify organization competencies to provide desired long term category results.
• Update Reports: Create, update and analyze weekly, monthly, and annual reports to support customer initiatives.
• Develop & present category plans: Assist in the development and presentation of fact based reviews which will be used to meet Walmart and Hormel obejctives and grow sales.
• Develop Strategy: Develop long term strategic category based integrated plans and conceptual selling presentations, that establish the framework for the value of Hormel's brands and categories in the context of customer objectives and strateigdevelopment and presentation of fact based reviews which will be used to meet Walmart and Hormel obejctives and grow sales.
• Modular Design: Maintain“space management” capabilities by developing and maintaining schematics and updating library of product data/illustrations to be utilized in category plan-o-grams.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Preferred candidates must posses a BS degree with 5+ years of CPG sales experience. Previous category management experience at Wal Mart is a plus.
• Extensive category, shopper and consumer knowledge, including experience with in-depth behavioral data analysis.
• Must have experience in Excel, Power Point and Access. Experience with Retail Link, DME and Interactive Edge is a plus.
• Siebel Trade Management experience is a plus.
• Must have experience pulling and analyzing syndicated data (AC Nielsen).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United Sates.

Wal Mart Headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas.
